William R. DiPaolo

William brings more than a dozen years experience running enterprise software businesses. Before teaming up with Alan Baia to create Cogent Road, William was the President and CEO of ThoughtWare Technologies, Inc., a provider of enterprise HR software for clients such as Hilton Hotels and FedEx. While leading ThoughtWare he raised two rounds of venture capital, opened four regional offices nationwide and negotiated the sale of the firm in 2001. At Cogent Road, William is focused on leading the company in its goal to become the benchmark for software services in the mortgage industry. William earned his Bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina.

Alan J. Baia
President, Co-Founder

Alan is a technical visionary who began his career as an engineer in circuit board assembly robotics for Manufacturing Concepts and Technologies, Inc. At Cogent Road, Alan provides the vision and leadership for the company's software products. His understanding of data architecture in relationship to the client's business needs have produced such industry innovations as Funding Suite's Intelligent Credit Report, UCScan and EquityID. Prior to forming Cogent Road with William DiPaolo, Alan was the President and founder of Western Data Research, Inc. Alan holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Southern California.

Raj currently manages all of Cogent Road's information systems including software engineering, platform development and system integrations. He has over 16 years of software development and project management experience in industries such as mortgage, healthcare, B2B eCommerce and content management systems. Rajasekar received a Bachelor's degree in mathematics and a Master's degree in finance management from Madurai Kamaraj University in Madurai, India. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional.

As CTO Brian leverages technology to Cogent Road's advantage by delivering IT solutions aligned with modern enterprise deployments. After attending the University of California San Diego, Brian became the network operations manager for the nation's largest online Direct Response retailer. With more than a decade of experience managing enterprise architectures, Brian is responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining Cogent Road's high availability network infrastructure.
